Any further questions?
Do you translate into other languages?
We only translate from English into our mother tongues (French, Italian, and Spanish), but we have a great network of colleagues we can collaborate with to help you translate your content into other languages.
Do you also translate from French/Italian/Spanish into English?
No, we don’t. Professional translators only work into their mother tongue. However, if you have content written in other languages that needs to be translated into English, we can definitely help you.
A perk of working with us is that we are a collective, and we also collaborate with native English translators. Let us know and we'll sort it out for you!
Do you do certified translations?
No, we don’t. We are specialised in creative translation.
Do you use Google Translate or other machine translation?
Never. We take pride in offering a 100% human translation service. We do use software and digital tools, of course, but we only use our brains, skills, and expertise to translate your content. We don't offer machine translation post-editing either.
How are you different from a translation agency?
When you work with us, there are no intermediaries - you have direct access to us, the translators. This means things flow more smoothly and it removes the need for never-ending email threads between project managers, translators and you - the client!
Additionally, we believe in a collaborative approach. This means we help each other in the translation process and find creative solutions for our languages to sometimes identical problems. Romance languages work very similarly, which is something we take full advantage of. We can understand each other's translations well enough to give each other advice and harness the power of three brains to make your content shine!
Do you translate PDF or any other non-editable files?
Yes, this often incurs additional costs. We always recommend digging up that editable file to save you some money and us some headaches. Can't find it? Send the non-editable file, and we'll make it work for you.
What's the difference between translation and transcreation?
Translation is the faithful and idiomatic rendering of a source text into a target text. It is true to the original and must read well.
Transcreation is a mix of translation and copywriting that's mostly used for marketing, advertising and branding content. It re-creates the text for readers of another language and culture while staying true to the brand and its tone of voice, in order to emotionally engage them and make them want to take action.
